and we call this music...

Listening to music today, its so different from what our parents and their parents listened to. Part of me are really upset with todays music, however, another significant piece of me is happy with a number of productions today.

The songs we listen to, well majority with specific artists excluded...are vulger..ass, titties, money, cars, hoes, lick ya #$&, suck ya #&$&.!!.

Music back then got the same idea across without  the profane lyrics...and it sounded beautiful...

Stevie, Rick James, Earth, Wind & Fire, Isley Bros. ,Tevin cambell, and even Bobby Brown.......

Not to say Tyrese, Musiq, Neyo, and such dont deserve their kudos, but as much as I may love them, Trey, Chris.....were getting a 
little out there.....i like the music, im just saying theres nothing to think about, nothing to the imagination.....its just there...Its getting to the poiny of cursing on the radio!!

 Most times you ask people to do something....they can do anything but what you asked of them....

Why??

If you tell someone what you want there is little to no room for error, wouldn't you think?

Its Judgement Day: I Didn't Get The Memo...

Judgement 

One of the biggest issues in "society" today. Everything in this modern day and age is carried out (in my opinion) to avoid judgement of some sort. The funny thing is that, being judged is inevitable. Think about it...

You have new clothes...                          Prima Donna

You have old clothes.....                          Broke 

Good Job.......                                          Stuck Up 

Bad Job.........                                          Under Achiever

No Job.......                                              Lazy

Don't Party.....                                         Stick in the Mud 

Party Person.....                                       Immature 

The list goes on..

Come to terms with the fact that, judgement is a part of life. 

What should make you think twice is the criteria that you are being judged by. Financial, Social, Visual and Moral status is dictated and embedded into out heads by "society" and what it says is right, wrong, or indifferent. But let us remember a few things: 

-Society said that high drug areas are predominately poor, but also once cited that the grade and amount of cocaine you possessed was a financial statement.

-Society continually reminds us as a nation that we are overweight, however, steadily flood us with fast food via mass media, and primitive location. 

-Society also said that the president would never be black, women couldn't vote, Gays cant serve our country, and anyone in a kemar or a turban was a terrorist.

Judgement Passed By The Most Nieve

I say the MOST nieve because what we fail to realize that: 

WE ARE SOCIETY 

 

 We are the reason that things are the way they are in several different aspects, other than judgement.

Ridicule, Animosity,Racism, Sexism, Homophobia and down right Dirt Dishing is and always will be an issue, unless "society" gets on the same page with itself. Who cares about everyone else's who, what, where, when, and how? I don't. I know i'm not alone either. I understand that nobody wants someone to paint a picture of them unless your Davinci...but truth is he's dead. 

God, 

Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, 

The courage to change the things I can, 

And the wisdom to know the difference.

In other words, pick your battles.

More of us need to fully accept ourselves as is, and then, only then, will the power of judgment cease to pull rank. 

So, I leave you with 2 things:

     1. There will always be opposition

          (which fuels judgement)

     2. Money will forever rule the world

          (sole tool to achieving desired judemental status)

Judgement is a way of life (and death) 

It revolves around finacial standing

But who cares??

So for now, 

Don't be judged....

Be noticed, appraised, flattered and amused but most of all, rememeber to just be you, because either way...

We Will Still Judge You!
